Founded in 1920 by John H. Odenbach, Dolomite has grown dramatically through expansion and acquisition into one of the largest materials suppliers in Upstate New York.
Timeline
1920 – Dolomite founded with the purchase of the Gates Quarry
1932 - Manitou Construction Company started to build projects around Rochester
1934 – The Shipbuilding Years
1941-1945 – Quarries shut down for war effort to build ships for U.S. Army
1950’s – Manitou Concrete
1950’s – Rochester Asphalt Materials
1981 - Keystone Builders Supply
1986 - Iroquois Rock Products
1997 - Northrup Materials
2000 – The Dolomite Group became a part of Oldcastle Materials
2007 – Cleason Readymix
2010 – A.L. Blades
